Few weeks ago, Hearts of Oak led by their board member Vincent Sowah Odotei paid a courtesy call on the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo at Jubilee House.
The club presented the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup trophies they won last season to the President and were dashed GHS1,000,000.
Akufo-Addo was impressed with the success chalked by the Phobians on the local scene last term and urged them to make the country proud on the continent.

He further narrated how his family was equally divided between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak but he chose to be with his uncles who were staunch supporters of the Porcupines despite his stern relationship with former Hearts chairman, Tommy Thompson.
“It was left with disputation in my house with shouts and arguments and everything. Unfortunately, I speak in front of Hearts of Oak people, I went with my uncles who were for Asante Kotoko,” Akufo-Addo said.
